The yearly turn over of CERP Bretagne Nord was about 500,000,000 Euros in 2002; the company owns 8 warehouses, employs 500 people and detains about 25,000 different products registered in France.
The export activity is dedicated to a specialised sub-company of CERP, named MEX, (medical export).

MEX is a separate company 100% owned by CERP. This situation allows MEX to sell the 25,000 French products and gives MEX the opportunity to get, when it is possible, export prices from laboratories depending on destinations.

MEX, expecting to develop while its activities in South-East Asia, has decided to create a subsidiary in Cambodia increasing its cooperation via DEPOMEX, a Cambodian specialist of pharmaceutical distribution.

MEX is confident in development perspectives that Cambodia is expecting.

MEX is giving young Cambodians the opportunity to increase their knowledge by performing a one-year technical training in France, which enable the sharing this experience with others when come back to Cambodia. This initiative is also based on experience sharing when these young people come back to Cambodia.

In accordance with the French regulations, MEX only exports French pharmaceuticals registered on the French market, with French packaging, to foreign wholesalers, pharmacies or importers, locally allowed to import pharmaceuticals. It is the exclusive duty of our clients to check if the products are locally registered and authorised for importation by the F.D.A or equivalent.

There are about 50 countries that MEX’ products have been exported to which included 25 significant countries. The families of 25,000 of products are: Pharmaceuticals, O.T.C products, Cosmetics, Veterinary, Dietetics and Accessories. . .

MEX provides the responsibility and quality service toward the clients. For the after sale service, even though we don’t provide customer the exchange of expired goods as it is illegal to bring back in France the expired goods except specific situations, we act as a "middle" man between our clients and the laboratories; we always find solutions to solve the difficulties of our clients.

Moreover, MEX products have been exported to Africa for more than 10 years in about 7 significant countries for all the locally registrant products; this turn over represents about 40% of the yearly turn over of MEX.

 

CERP Bretagne Nord is located in St Brieuc (near the city of Rennes, France), and is acting as a pharmaceutical wholesaler on the French territory, daily delivering more than 1200 pharmacies.
